ASPHALT SHINGLE ROOF

On residential and commercial sloped roofs, we install asphalt shingles from manufacturers Iko, BP, Gaf and Certainteed. These roofing materials come with warranties of up to 50 years. Since we are certified Certainteed roofers, we can offer the SureStart Plus warranty on the asphalt shingles we install.

Manufacturers offer different types of asphalt shingles. Double or triple-layer architectural shingles (also called dimensional or laminate shingles) are among the highest quality roofing materials. They are made with a fiberglass base covered with asphalt and mineral granules with ceramic.

Some models mimic cedar wood shingles (such as the Presidential Shake model by CertainTeed). Other architectural models imitate the appearance of slate (such as Belmont, Grand Manor and Carriage House shingles by CertainTeed).

You will also find strip shingles (composed of a single layer) as well as high-performance shingles. All these advanced technology shingles are designed to withstand the harsh Quebec winters. They resist strong winds, freezing rain, rain, etc. Some models also prevent blue-green algae from invading roofs while resisting damage from UV rays. Other shingle models are fire-resistant (do not burn).
